Meet Devvie

Just an hour and a half down I-35 is the blue stain of Austin on our deep red state, and it seems like every politician who goes there gets sucked in by the liberal swamp of the Austin establishment. We see far too many Republicans siding with Democrats when they’re supposed to stand firm for our conservative values.


While Austin politicians cozy up to Democrats and worry about their own political agenda, Devvie Duke is marching arm in arm with other passionate conservatives fighting for our values.


Devvie Duke has lived in Waco for over 20 years with her husband of 40 years, Robert. Together they have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. A bold Christian conservative, Devvie is invested in keeping fellow believers engaged in the electoral and governmental process, because the only way to keep America free is to keep it rooted in the faith under which it was founded.


Devvie was a leader in the commercial insurance industry in risk management for 35 years, and a military wife for over 20 while her husband served in the United States Navy.


Others who run for office plan to make an impact when they get elected, but Devvie has already been working hard, volunteering thousands of hours, to further conservative principles in Texas. She’s held multiple positions including President of the McLennan County Republican Women and a leader in the Texas Federation of Republican Women.

She currently serves on the State Republican Executive Committee for the Republican Party of Texas where she chairs the Election Integrity Committee.


There is no one who cares more about or works harder for conservative principles than Devvie Duke.


From her many leadership posts, she’s organized teams of conservative grassroots volunteers to promote conservative candidates across the state with Strike Force. She’s promoted policies to safeguard our elections, to secure parental rights and educational freedom, to end vaccine mandates, and to act immediately to stop illegal immigrants from pouring over our borders and into our neighborhoods.

And when the House came after our conservative Attorney General Ken Paxton, Devvie condemned the House for its irresponsible rush to impeach another conservative rather than focusing on helping the people of Texas.


Under Devvie’s leadership as president of McLennan County Republican Women, the club doubled its membership and received National and State recognition for their work promoting veterans and the United States Constitution. In recognition of her leadership, Devvie was honored to receive the Tribute to Women Award by TFRW in 2018.

We don’t need another deep-pocketed politician. We need a tried-and-true Texan devoted to conservative Christian principles. We need Devvie Duke in the Texas State House.

Fixing Our Borders

The immigration crisis is no longer at our border. It is right here in our communities. Our leaders have dragged their feet on policy to protect our citizens from drug smugglers and human traffickers coming into our state. They’re buying up land and settling in places like Colony Ridge, evading law enforcement, injecting drugs into our neighborhoods, and doing catastrophic damage to homes and businesses along the border.


Devvie has avidly urged legislators on both the state and national level to finish the wall, to provide funding for border patrol agencies and officers in Texas and to reimburse Texans for damage to their property caused by illegal aliens. She won’t waste any time cracking down on the border issue as our State Rep.

Re-Instilling Integrity In Our Elections

A couple of sessions ago, the State House passed very good election integrity legislation. Since then, not a thing has been done. The risks still exist. We still need strong measures that improve the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of elections in Texas. Devvie has already played a critical role in keeping our state from being entangled in a potential data breach and liberal voter registration scheme. Devvie also authored the SREC Resolution to Terminate Membership In ERIC which was adopted by the RPT. It was through Devvie’s work that Texas terminated its membership with the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC) which conservatives across the country have criticized including President Trump.

Economic Relief and Lowering Property Taxes

Devvie knows that Texans want to protect their hard-earned dollars from an antiquated property tax system. Taxpayers need lasting relief from rising taxes and increased household spending. Devvie will fight against wasteful government spending and give Texans the property tax reform they deserve.

Protecting Our Children and The Sanctity of The Unborn

Devvie is a mother and grandmother who firmly believes life starts at conception and is worth fighting for all the way to the end. Devvie has a heart for protecting our children from exposure to sexually explicit and inappropriate content in classrooms and communities, and she is not afraid to challenge inappropriate books in libraries or gender exploration conversations in schools.

Freedom In Education

Empowering parents and strengthening opportunities for children to receive the best education possible is important to Devvie. She voted in favor of the SREC Resolution Supporting Educational Freedom which promoted the idea that parents should have the freedom of choice for the education of their children. Devvie knows elementary and secondary education is a crucial learning time in a child’s life, and she believes every student from the strongest to the most vulnerable deserves the chance to succeed.

2nd Amendment Rights

As a gun owner and a staunch advocate of our rights to carry guns without restrictions, she will fight to keep Texas's Second Amendment strong even when the liberals in the federal government try to come for them.

Devvie has spent hours meeting with Republicans in Austin and across the state and promoting conservative principles. She is not about to let up now. When she represents us in the Texas House, Devvie won’t cave when it comes to handing power over to Democrats and killing conservative legislation for personal agendas.
